Note: This installer uses Icewind Dale I, Icewind Dale – Heart of Winter Expansion, the free v1.42 Trials of the Luremaster Expansion, Icewind Dale II, the v2.01 patch, & the fixed executables + any other “bonus material”.
(I think the 1.42 and 2.01 patches can be downloaded from download.com)
This conversion should also work with the retail “collector”s edition”.
1) Create a Temp folder on your hard-drive.
Name this folder: TEMP
2) Download the “Icewind Dale Collection” Custom Installer from HERE and extract the contents of the RAR file to the TEMP folder you created in Step1.

Extracted from the RAR file are the folders named:
Bonus Material
Heart of Winter
Icewind Dale
Icewind Dale II
No-CDs
Updates
3) Copy all the contents of the Icewind Dale CD1 to the “Icewind Dale” folder.
4) Copy the “CD2” folder on the Icewind Dale CD2 to the same Icewind Dale folder.
(DON’T copy any other files* – we will use the Autorun files from CD1)
5) Copy all the contents of the Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter CD to the “Heart of Winter” folder.
5) Copy all the contents of the Icewind Dale II CD1 to the “Icewind Dale II” folder.
6) Copy the “CD2” folder Icewind Dale II CD2 to the same Icewind Dale II folder.
Also copy the “data3.cab” file. (DON’T copy any other files* – again we will use the Autorun files from CD1)
7) In the “Updates” folder are 2 folders named:
Heart of Winter
Icewind Dale II
This is where your updates will go.
a) Place the Trials of the Luremaster update in the folder named “Heart of Winter”. It MUST be called “HOWTrials.exe”
b) Place the 2.01 patch in the folder named “Icewind Dale II”. It MUST be called “IWD2Patch201.exe”
The buttons on the menu will directly open these executables.
8) In the “No-CDs” folder are 2 folders named:
Icewind Dale
Icewind Dale II
Copy your fixed executable(s) in the correct folder. The corresponding buttons on the menu will open these folders. i.e. 1.42 No-CD will open Icewind Dale and 2.01 No-CD will open Icewind Dale II.
You will have to manually replace the files in the game directory with these ones.
9) I have added the “Bonus Material” folder for you to put all your other custom content. If you own the “collection edition” of Icewind Dale you can put the soundtrack and other things from the bonus disk(s). Others may choose to add portraits, character editors, saved games or tutorials. The choice is yours.
10) Finally burn the contents of the TEMP folder onto a DVD and enjoy.
NOTE: You can choose any label for your DVD.
Note: during the installation of the games you will be prompted to insert the next disk, just press OK to continue.
*You may want to copy files like the acrobat reader installation. But you can always place these in the bonus folder (from Step9).
