(DVD9 to 2xDVD5) *ENGLISH ONLY*
Install Sequence: DVD1-DVD2.
1) Create 3 Temp folders on your hardrive.
Name one folder: NFSHP_DISK1. This will be the name (Label) of DVD1.
Name another folder: NFSHP_DISK2. This will be the name (Label) of DVD2.
Name the other folder: NFSHP_CABEX. This will only be a working folder.
2) Copy all the contents of the ‘Need for Speed Hot Pursuit DVD9’ to the ‘NFSHP_DISK1’ folder.
3) DELETE ‘all’ the ‘GDFBinary.dll’ Language files EXCEPT for the following files:
GDFBinary.en-us.dll
GDFBinary-en-uk.dll
4) MOVE the ‘Support’ folder from the ‘NFSHP_DISK1’ folder to the ‘NFSHP_DISK2’ folder.
5) MOVE the following files from the ‘NFSHP_DISK1’ folder to the ‘NFSHP_DISK2’ folder:
data4.cab
data5.cab
data6.cab
6) COPY the following files from the ‘NFSHP_DISK1’ folder to the ‘NFSHP_DISK2’ folder:
GDFBinary.en-us.dll
GDFBinary-en-uk.dll
7) Using WinRar, EXTRACT the contents of the ‘data.cab’ file from the ‘NFSHP_DISK1’ folder to the ‘NFSHP_CABEX’ folder.
8) Now DELETE the ‘data.cab’ file from the ‘NFSHP_DISK1’
9) CREATE a folder in the ‘NFSHP_CABEX’ folder and name it: data
NOTE: The Next few Steps require ‘makecab’. Makecab.exe should already be included in Windows but if you don’t have it, download it from HERE and put it in your ‘data’ folder.
NOTE 2: To ‘Re-Pack’ the ‘data.cab’ file we will use a ‘.ddf’ file as it specifies the order in which the files are added to the .cab file. This order is based on the install sequence in autorun.dat file. If the order does not match, the installer will not find the file, and you will get an error.
10) Download the ‘data.ddf’ file from HERE and extract the contents of the RAR file to the ‘NFSHP_CABEX\data’ folder.
11) Using the Notepad open the ‘data.ddf’ file in the ‘NFSHP_CABEX\data’ folder and edit the following line (the 9th Row) as shown below then Save it.
…. change from ….
.Set DiskDirectory1=”e:\data”
…. change to ….
.Set DiskDirectory1=”YOURPATH\NFSHP_CABEX\data”
12) OPEN the Command Prompt Box (cmd), and type the path to the ‘NFSHP_CABEX\data’ folder. (cd “folder path”)
… then type:
makecab /f data.ddf
Note: When the ‘makecab’ process finishes you will have a new ‘data.cab’ file in the ‘NFSHP_CABEX\data’ folder.
13) MOVE the ‘data.cab’ file from the ‘NFSHP_CABEX\data’ folder to the ‘NFSHP_DISK1’ folder. (You should have already deleted the Original file back at Step 8)
14) Download the edited ‘autorun.dat’ file from HERE and extract the contents of the RAR file to the ‘NFSHP_DISK1’ folder overwriting any files if prompted.

15) Burn the contents of the ‘NFSHP_DISK1’ folder to a DVD (or Create an ISO) with the Label: NFSHP_DISK1
16) Burn the contents of the ‘NFSHP_DISK2’ folder to a DVD (or Create an ISO) with the Label: NFSHP_DISK2
