(DVD9 to 1xDVD5) [Multi 5]
1) Create a Temp folder on your hardrive.
Name this folder: SS_DVD5.
2) Copy all the contents of the ‘Split Second DVD9’ to the ‘SS_DVD5’ folder.
3) Download the ‘Split_Second_1xDVD5.7z’ file from HERE and extract the contents of the RAR file to the ‘SS_DVD5’ folder overwriting any files if prompted.
4) In the ‘SS_DVD5’ folder RUN the ‘repack.bat’ file and wait until the process finishes.
5) Install the game from the ‘Split Second DVD9’.
6) Using FreeArc browse to the game’s install folder and select the following folders and files to compress:
environments (Folder)
audio (Folder)
airport_test_03powerplays.ark
dockspowerplays.ark
downtownpowerplays.ark
end_sequencepowerplays.ark
frontendpowerplays.ark
graveyardpowerplays.ark
powerplantpowerplays.ark
resident.ark
seclusion.ark
FreeArc Settings:
Output archive: SS_arc
Compression: -mx -ld400m
Make EXE: Windows GUI: freearc.sfx [TICK THIS]
7) MOVE the ‘SS_arc.exe’ file from the game’s install folder to the ‘SS_DVD5\Split Second’ folder.
8) Using the Notepad open the ‘setup.ini’ file in the ‘SS_DVD5\Split Second’ folder and edit the following Line, as shown below, then Save it.

9) Burn the contents of the ‘SS_DVD5’ folder to a DVD (or Create an ISO) with any Label you choose.
DVD5 Size: 4.30 GB
Note: The high quality movies are replaced with low quality ones.
